Regional Flavours to roll into South Bank Parklands

Get the stretchy pants on and appetites primed for the Regional Flavours Presented by The Courier-Mail festival on Saturday July 18 and Sunday July 19.

The year-long wait between Regional Flavours Presented by The Courier-Mail events is a challenge for any Brisbane foodie, but now we can all take a deep breath with the news that the festival is set to return in July. Prepare the belly for two days packed full of tastings, cooking demonstrations, information sessions and discussions with the makers of your favourite food products. Local and celebrity chefs and food experts will fill eight different venues with fantastic food and good times over this delicious winter weekend.

Amble along the festival’s famous Producer Showcase on Little Stanley Street to sample, buy and learn about fresh produce and artisan food products from around 100 local food producers, growers, winemakers and restaurants from across the state. Catch a cooking demonstration at EAT-SHOW-TELL on the main stage, where you might be lucky enough to spot Paul West from River Cottage Australia airing on Foxtel’s LifeStyle FOOD, Miguel Maestre from The Living Room on TEN and Matt Preston from TEN’s MasterChef Australia. Paul West will also be taking guests into South Bank’s Epicurious Garden to share his knowledge on reconnecting our kitchens with the land.

Visitors who love the sweet combination of cheese and wine will love sampling the best of Queensland Taste while listening to local emerging musicians, and street-food fans can also get their fix when some of the precinct’s best restaurants pop up in the eatSouthBank food trucks on Little Stanley Street. To discover more of the goodies in store for visitors in 2015, head online.
