Shake your moneymaker at the brand-new Park Sounds

With recent years seeing many beloved Aussie music festivals getting the chop, it can sometimes feel like the live music scene just keeps getting smaller. Hold that thought, pals – the inaugural Park Sounds is a fresh-as-heck offering taking over Pine Rivers Park on Saturday November 12 to prove that there’s plenty of life left in the festival circuit.

The first ever Park Sounds certainly isn’t coming in quietly – boasting a line-up that seasoned festivals would be jealous of, the event is a one-day sonic punch that features a number of big names as well as up-and-coming talent. The usually tranquil greens of the Pine Rivers Park will be overtaken by eager lovers of killer tunes set to see artists (figuratively) tear up the open-air amphitheatre. Headlining the event is hip-hop royalty Bliss N Eso, bringing an incomparable live show to the main stage that promises energy levels akin to a truckload of Red Bull. Adding to the bill is local hero and badass MC Drapht, set to bust out all of his sing-alongs and certified bangers.

Aside from hip-hop heavyweights, there is a killer selection of more underground and emerging artists fleshing out the tunes. Coming off the back of an appearance that overflowed the Tiny Dancer tent at this year’s Splendour in the Grass is Nicole Milllar, purveyor of fierce beats. Super producer Running Touch is representing with the dance vibes, and Pon Cho’s bass-heavy trap tunes are set to get bodies shakin’. Girl-boss GG Magree will be crushing the decks fresh from opening sets for the likes of Pharrell, T-Pain and Wu-Tang Clan to name a few. Make no mistake – there are some names on this list that you will want to take note of.

If this offering was too tempting to bear, you can still snap up tickets to Park Sounds through the official website.
