Junk in the Trunk market

Forage for assorted Junk in the Trunk at West End

An intense collision of bric-a-brac, loot and treasure is bound for West End as part of Brisbane Fringe Festival on Saturday September 14.

Mollison Street’s vacant space will be filled with secondhand goods and handmade wares in a downtown car-boot event named Junk in the Trunk from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm this Saturday. Located in central vintage-shopping magnet West End, Junk in the Trunk will offer market enthusiasts a chance to trawl through unique pre-loved possessions.

Those with enviable knick-knack collections that they are prepared to part with can register to offload their stuff, and possibly pocket a sweet penny using their car’s bonnet or boot as a table. The market will be held in an accessible location opposite West End Coles, enabling shoppers to get their pre- and post-shopping sugar hits at the neighbouring cafes and eateries. Junk in the Trunk will mark the completion of the 2013 Brisbane Fringe Festival’s action-packed program of independent events.
