Attend a lantern-making workshop by Delicious and DeLIGHTful

Dalby’s Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival is an annual event in August that celebrates the community’s diversity by showcasing cultural cuisine and multicultural entertainment, all culminating in a spectacular lantern parade.

The Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival will be bringing a special inception of the event to Brisbane when Southern Queensland Country visits Eat Street Markets on April 17 and 18. There you’ll find a lantern-making workshop in true country style, lighting up the faces of children and adults alike as they decorate pre-made lanterns.

Tying in with this year’s Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival theme of ‘Animals’, participants will use coloured tissue paper and draw and paint the faces of their favourite animal to bring their lantern to life. As you wander around the Eat Street Markets exploring the wonders of country produce and products, your animal lantern will emerge at dusk with a soft animated glow.
