Jardan unveils its new showroom on James Street
The popular furniture designer and maker has decided to open its first retail space in Fortitude Valley, tucked away on the thriving promenade of James Street.
Nick and Mike Garnham have been the owners and operators of Melbourne-based Jardan since 1987, making a career out of creating some of the finest furniture and interiors in Australia. Now employing dozens of expert artisans and craftspeople, Jardan has reached a point of expansion, choosing to breakaway from solely trading in the wholesale market to offering customers the chance to shop retail. Located on James Street, the new Jardan retail store has been designed to capture the state’s laid-back style.
Iva Foschia of IF Architecture has designed Jardan’s James Street space, with a light and breezy interior boasting timber lining boards and a fresh colour palette helping to create an inviting and cool atmosphere. The items for sale include Jardan’s signature range of sofas, tables, chairs, and beds, as well as lifestyle items such a paintings and sculptures. Combining class and modernity, Jardan’s range reflects the brand’s approach to creating the right furniture for Australia’s lifestyle, and the new James Street retail space looks to continue that trend for Queensland shoppers.
