TWE Bleeding Heart, Brisbane

Farewell Bleeding Heart at its final Friday Slow Down

Heritage-listed beauty Bleeding Heart is about to undergo much-needed renovations, meaning the gallery and event space will be closing its doors indefinitely from tomorrow, Friday June 27.

Whether attending a fundraising community event or simply strolling along Ann Street, it’s likely you’ve gazed upon the gorgeous old bones of Bleeding Heart. An ambitious combination of cafe, art gallery, retail store and event space, the old girl has helped support more than 150 different charities over the years. Sadly, however, the timeworn building is now in need of a touch-up so Brisbane City Council will be commencing much-needed refurbishments and Bleeding Heart will be closing its doors indefinitely from tomorrow, Friday June 27.

Join the farewell party from 4:00–9:00 pm tomorrow night as Bleeding Heart hosts its popular Friday Slow Down for the final time. Kick back to music from DJs, take part in an auction, fuel up with the on-site barbecue and take advantage of drink specials. All are welcome to attend and profits will go to the Wise Foundation.

Keep your eyes peeled to The Weekend Edition for updates on the group’s new venue, The Gardens Club, which will be opening inside the heritage-listed Curators Cottage in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens in July.
