TWE vintage pop up shop, James Street

James Street hosts first Vintage Pop Up Shop

Some of Brisbane’s finest purveyors of vintage are bringing their prized collections to James Street to launch the precinct’s first Vintage Pop Up Shop this weekend.

Perhaps you’re searching for the quintessential 1930s feedsack dress or a set of 1980s heels to make Material Girl-era Madonna weak at the knees – whatever your wardrobe is craving, it’s likely to be hanging on the racks at Vintage Pop Up Shop this weekend. Swing by 76 James Street from 5:00 pm this afternoon, Thursday March 6, and forage through the huge range of clothing, jewellery, accessories, fabric, furniture and homewares. You’ll find treasures like retro sewing patterns, champagne glasses, dainty cake plates, mid-century armchairs and a bunch of one-off dresses to smuggle home.

Local vintage doyennes kijaro and Atomic Martini will kick off the festivities with a gala opening from 5:00–9:00 pm tonight and keep the doors open 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Saturday and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Sunday. Check out the Facebook event page for more details and sneak peeks of the goods on offer.
