The Sangria Bar

Escape Brisbane’s sweaty clutches with a slurp of sangria and a fiery bocadito at South Bank’s newest cocktail locale, The Sangria Bar. Nuzzling into sister restaurant Olé, the new Grey Street destination is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with the kitchen rustling up the goods until midnight Thursday to Saturday. It’s clear the Spanish cocktail classic is the beating heart of The Sangria Bar operation, with six varieties navigating both red and white wine, plus a changing flavour of the day and a flight of four varieties for those struggling to decide. Sangria might be the focus, but the food has certainly not been neglected, with the bar borrowing from Olé’s tapas menu for when the cravings kick in.
