Mark Trevorrow, Comedian, Bob Downe: 20 Golden Greats
Inspiration can't be conjured. It just arrives, on any day of the week ...
Clad in flamboyant polyester safari suits, Bob Downe is one camp character that has been causing grins on many a face for the past 25 years. The alter ego of comedian and actor Mark Trevorrow, Bob Downe is bringing an all-singing, all-dancing show to Brisbane Powerhouse from December 12–15. Having made regular appearances at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Bob has also hosted his own television shows and performed cabaret style. The lines between the personality of Bob and the ‘real’ Mark Trevorrow often blur, with Mark having embodied this alter ego since 1984. The Weekend Edition caught up with Mark to chat weekends before he takes to the stage in Bob Downe: 20 Golden Greats at Brisbane Powerhouse next week.
