Kunal Jogi, Owner, Stop Sixteen

When you desire something passionately enough, the entire universe conspires to give it to you ...

Seduced by the good coffee he had been making during a long stretch in hospitality in Sydney, Kunal sought out the perfect spot for his own cafe where each day would revolve around brewing the perfect cup. Now, having run Stop Sixteen in Ashgrove for two years, Kunal is a regular face the suburb would feel incomplete without. Crafting a friendly community vibe, Stop Sixteen is a hidden suburban gem serving coffee that’s made with love. A penchant for morning banter and learning his customers’ names and orders, Kunal is passionate about coffee and shaping a welcoming environment. Retro red lounges meet hand-drawn illustrations upon the ceiling, while each month a new local artist exhibits works about the cafe. A spot for lounging with a good book or the morning paper, Stop Sixteen is a humble nook brewing full-bodied cups of Di Bella Felici beans. The Weekend Edition caught up with Kunal to discover his weekend essentials.
