Jess Barty, Owner, Sunday Social

Slaughtering a few karaoke tunes with friends ...

You may be well acquainted with the infectious smile of vintage-loving gentlewoman Jess Barty of Sunday Social. Having started out selling her ever-growing collection of vintage on eBay, obtaining a market stall at the original Winn Lane weekend markets was a natural progression – back when only Flamingo Cafe and Little Jane St occupied the now bustling laneway. As each new hole in the wall became an actual shop face, Jess grasped the opportunity to turn her retro pastime into a full-time reality. Now Sunday Social has been open for two years, and will host a celebratory birthday party in Winn Lane this Friday April 12 in conjunction with Atavist Books (which is turning one year old). An established cog in the community but always growing, Sunday Social recently launched an online store and has a constant stream of new individual vintage finds for gents and gentleladies through the door. The Weekend Edition caught up with an overall-cloaked Jess to chat weekend essentials.
