The closure of Wing Fix’s Morningside home in August 2020 was quickly followed by an announcement that the team had plans in the works for a new location in Newmarket. Snagging a convenient spot at Newmarket Village, Wing Fix transported its popular menu of eats to the north side in November that year, including its acclaimed range of crispy fried chicken (doused in Wing Fix’s signature sauces, which include classic buffalo, honey-soy, garlic parmesan and fiery Nashville hot), selection of stacked burgers (truffle cheeseburger, anyone?) and loaded fries. Boasting plenty of interior and exterior seating, the team once again crafted a casually cool setting that feature’s a slick palette of black-and-white subway tiles, orange booth seating and a liberal coating of LA-inspired graffiti by Drapl. Once the venue’s liquor licence is approved, groups can beat the heat with a two-litre craft-beer or cider tower, or quench thirsts with dreamy cocktails like the mango Weis Bar, a refreshing Gin Crush or the lychee martini. Until then, American sodas and decadent thick shakes will absolutely do the trick.
