The award-winning craft brewer opened a cellar door and bar to the public in 2016, quickly building its follower base with its top-notch selection. The brewery is equipped with a gleaming 5Hl system plus a clutch of shiny new fermenters, resulting in a bevy of beers including an Australian pale lager, an American pale ale, a New England India Pale Ale and a host of limited-edition drops. Fast forward to 2020 and White Lies Brewing has entered the spirits game, sourcing a distillery system for its range of Ginesis gins. Ginesis’ debut range boasts three robust gins, the first spotlighting juicy mandarins, another imbued with zesty finger lime and the third packing the punch of powdered wasabi. The White Lies team has converted a spare room at his Sumner HQ into a speakeasy-style gin lounge where guests will be able to sip on tasting paddles and other White Lies beverages if they’re keen on a different kind of ambience from the tap room.
