Since its inception, Wandering Cooks has prided itself on its unconventional approach to dining. From foodie incubator to dynamo dinner spot in its own right, Wandering Cooks practically kick-started several popular operations. Since relocating from South Brisbane to West End, the Wandering Cooks crew has shifted gears, swapping its incubator leanings to become a welcoming restaurant and bar fuelled by farm-fresh produce. Wandering Cooks West End boasts an estimated capacity of 200 guests, spread across a street-facing beer garden, interior dining area (next to the bar), an upstairs function section and an alfresco nook at the venue’s rear. A deli and retail space, which is activated every farm gate event, is also used for extra seating at night. The menu here changes daily, with a roster of 30 producers supplying everything from seasonal fruit and veg to spices, nuts and oils. One major continuation from South Brisbane is the bar, which, like before, is stocked with local craft beer, Australian wine and spirits from independent makers.
