Veganyumm

Hey vegans, guess what? Brisbane now has its first entirely vegan bakery! For a little while now, Brisbane sweet lovers (vegan or otherwise) have be flocking to Charlie’s Raw Squeeze and previously Boundary Street Markets to sample Cinnayumm treats – deliciously decadent vegan cinnamon scrolls. Recognising a demand for more, creator Shairie Bhim has collaborated with Charlie’s to open a full vegan dessert bakehouse, Veganyumm. The menu features a whole lot of yums, including Cinnayumms, Doughnutyumms, Waffleyumms, Cookieyumms and Red Velvet Cupcakeyumms. Attracting many off-the-cuff treat venturers from morning to night, the bakery’s rising popularity might be relative to its consistent finger-licking fare, and a host of cabinet newbies which sees you imbibe from a 12-strong brownie variety, deliciously decadent birthday, wedding or engagement cakes (name an occasion, they’ll do it), more cupcakes than your stomach can cater for (but we will try anyway), pies, tarts and more. As well as being plant based, the bakery offers an array of gluten- and sugar-free options. Coffee drinkers can nab a java with almond, soy or coconut milk, or try something different with a red velvet or tumeric latte or opt for a frothy choc milkshake – chef’s kiss!
