Tucked away inside Coorparoo Square is Tony’s Chop Shop Barbershop, one of Brisbane’s most authentic, old school barbershops. Owned and operated by Tony Micale, the barbershop was created as a place to celebrate individuality and community in equal measure by doubling as a meeting place as well as a spot to get a snip and a shave. Tony’s Chop Shop Barbershop is all about adding the personal touch to the traditional barber service. Tony himself acts and barber, friend and confidant, where customers can feel free to open up and enjoy themselves while in the chair or playing pool while they wait. The space is adorned with custom shelves and cabinets, timber floors and walls covered in photographs of iconic stars of generation’s past. Customers can walk in or book an appointment in advance, with a full range of cuts, shaves and trims available. Tony also stocks some top-shelf product from brands such as Uppercut Deluxe, Muk, Baxter and Australian Apothecary Co.
