Three Blue Ducks

For years, the only way we could sample the amazing fare from Three Blue Ducks was by driving to Byron Bay or catching a plane to Sydney. When we heard that Three Blue Ducks was coming north to roost at W Brisbane as the hotel’s signature restaurant, we practically swooned. The much-loved New South Wales restaurant group (with locations in Bronte, Byron Bay and Rosebery) launched at W Brisbane in June 2018, bringing its renowned paddock-to-plate ethos and honest cuisine. As with its other venues, sustainable, ethical, seasonal and locally sourced produce dictates the menu, which features the best of Queensland and Northern New South Wales produce for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. The relaxed setting overlooks the Brisbane River and reflects Three Blue Ducks’ grassroots dining experience, with nods to traditional Queensland architecture. A number of Three Blue Ducks’ signature dishes are be included on the menu, and the kitchen will feature a woodfired oven, charcoal pit and a cold seafood section showcasing oysters, Moreton Bay bugs and spanner crab. The bar stocks a huge range of biodynamic, natural and organic wines, tap and bottled beer, spirits and cocktails, while a stand-alone coffee bench whips up batches of Single O brew.
