Set off the main streets of Indorroopilly is The Whistle-Stop Cafe. Inside the cafe, green, orange and yellow cushion-topped chairs stand out brighltly against white walls. Visitors can sip their coffee on cosy striped lounge chairs, or take their coffee surrounded by a lush veggie garden in the shaded outdoor seating area. Everything on the breakfast, lunch and children’s menu is made in-house using ingredients from a number of local producers including Glenrose Bio-dynamic Eggs, Sol and Wild Breads, Barambah Organics and LICK! Ice Cream. At lunch, gnocchi is served with burnt butter and smoked almonds before being toasted with a selection of green and herbs picked straight from the garden.
