Tucked away in an industrial nook of Newstead, The Triffid is a significant new player on the local music scene. The 800-capacity venue boasts a world-class sound system and 490-square-metre beer garden, keeping both punters and players happy. Slip in through the beer garden entry to enjoy a drink in the outdoor oasis, or enter the former WWII hangar for a hit of live music. Outside, shipping containers have been converted into a kitchen and two bars, offering up gourmet burgers, fries and beers and wine on tap.
