The Roastery Cafe

The smell of Rouge Coffee wafts from the roasting half of The Roastery Cafe’s converted warehouse, sending caffeine seekers’ hearts racing. Take a seat inside or amble through to The Rouge Plantation out the back, where you’ll find colourful wall art and an edible garden embracing aquaponic principles. The cafe not only embraces sustainability and a commitment to sourcing local, but it has also launched a series of food workshops to educate and inform local foodies. The boutique coffee roaster first launched in 2012 and has been charming its loyal regulars ever since. Pop into the ethical South Brisbane cafe for a fresh, healthy meal, a cup of steaming hot coffee or a bottle of its famous Artisan Cold Brew. Keep watch on the cafe’s Facebook page to stay up to date on its fast-paced evolution, which has included forward-thinking additions like Bee One Third bee hives on the cafe’s roof and a Bitcoin ATM.
