Located beside a tranquil patch of greenery in Newstead’s Park development, The Lazy Dog Cafe is a laid-back spot where canine companions are welcome to lap from a water bowl as you sip an Allpress espresso. The dog-friendly haunt was inspired by the beloved border collie of owners Claudia and Ivan Coe, who relocated to Brisbane from Sydney in search of the perfect spot to open their dream cafe. Breakfast at The Lazy Dog Cafe sees acai bowls served alongside hearty big breakfasts, while lunch offerings include burgers, chilli fries, salads and bowls of laksa, as well as pre-made bagels to go. Tea drinkers are looked after with TWG Teas, including jasmine pearls and Moroccan mint, and little ones can run wild in the nearby park or take a seat at one of the kids tables.
