The Flo is one part eye-catching cafe, one part florist. Owner Fiona Liu has opened a space that blends modern-industrial aesthetics with pops of colour, bolstered by a concise but quality selection of eats and drinks. Bellissimo Coffee was tabbed for its specialty beans, which is available across The Flo’s range of espresso-based pours. The cafe will be adding single origins and filter pours in the near future, while matcha, chai and beetroot cocoa lattes are already available. Non-coffee drinkers are also spoiled for choice when it comes to refreshing beverage options. Tea sippers will be stoked with The Flo’s selection of signature cold-brew fruit teas, which come in peach oolong, lemon black and green jasmine flavours, backed by a selection of iced fruit sodas, fresh seasonal juices and iced coffees. The Flo’s menu caters best for the grab-and-go customer base – those craving an express option for breakfast and lunch. A rotating selection of salads, chia-seed puddings, muesli yoghurt pots, sandwiches and wraps are available alongside a host of pastries from Danny’s Bread. If you’ve got a bit more time on your hands, you can linger and snack on avocado smash or a brekkie brioche burger with egg, ham and salty cheese.
