The Coop Bistro

The Coop Bistro – formerly known to Fortitude Valley revellers at The Flying Cock – underwent some significant changes in mid-2017, shaking things up and styling itself as Brisbane’s finest chicken pub. The bar and eatery maintained its dedication to providing stellar fare, but enhanced its approach to offer a more inclusive menu (anchored by the ever-popular fried chicken selection) as well as a new cocktail list and an enhanced wine selection. Fans of finger-lickin’ goodness should grab the napkins and get ready to drool – The Coop Bistro’s menu features the likes of gluten-free buttermilk fried chicken, twice-cooked wings, vegan-friendly vinegar-battered cauliflower wings, chargrilled corn dusted with parmesan and lathered in miso mayo, tonkatsu eggplant burgers, roasted broccolini and carrot salad, and nine kinds of dipping sauces to accompany your order. Patrons can still order favourites such as the rump steak and chicken parmy, and the upstairs portion of the venue continues to operate at The Flying Cock, where live music and late-night entertainment takes place throughout the week.
