Overlooking the Baroona Road precinct in Rosalie is The Balcony Cafe, a quaint brunch destination that sits above the Rosalie Gourmet Market. Seating is set amongst shelves of kitchenware and on the wraparound balcony. Using some of the best produce and boutique goods, The Balcony operates from Friday to Sunday with concise menus for breakfast and lunch. Come by early to tuck into some Murray Bridge free-range bacon and free-range Beaudesert eggs, a crunchy potato rosti stack with aioli, smoked salmon, avocado and eggs or a bowl of Brookfarm toasted muesli with cranberries, gourmet yoghurt from Maleny and seasonal fruit. Lunch meals include gourmet beef burgers with pancetta, Gorgonzola dolce blue cheese and homemade beetroot relish, Croque Madame with Béchamel sauce and fried egg and mushroom risotto with dried porcini and Italian truffle oil. The Balcony also serves cold-pressed artisan ice coffee, milk shakes, tea and juices.
