Than Nuong Restaurant and Bar

When it comes to providing an all-encompassing and professional dining experience, David Tram learned from the best. David’s parents own one of Adelaide’s best Vietnamese restaurants, and it was through this experience that he learned the tricks of the trade. Than Nuong Restaurant and Bar is David’s own Vietnamese eatery, located at the base of Woolloongabba’s Eastwood Apartments. David has ensured the food offering at his restaurant is as faithful to Vietnam’s traditional cuisine as you can get without hopping on a plane, focusing on a seductive array of meats cooked in its specialised charcoal pit. Patrons can snack on traditional pork balls, betel leaf beef, kangaroo or venison lemongrass and even deep-fried crunchy tofu. The pho is highly recommended, with the traditional Vietnamese noodle soup coming with your choice of rare beef, wagyu or hoi an. The menu is fleshed out with spicy chicken wings, prawn papaya salads, charcoal quails, soft-shell crab, spring rolls and rice-paper rolls. As for the bar, Than Nuong Restaurant offers a stellar list of wines, beer, sake and spirits, including a luxe array of cognac to sip on.
