Tatsu Ramen Gyoza Bar

The team behind West End’s Izakana-Ya Okuman opened Tatsu Ramen Gyoza Bar just before the festive season at the tail end of 2016, offering a comprehensive menu of popular Japanese dishes in a vibrant Japanese yakitori-ya meets Australian bar setting. Situated behind tinted glass on Chinatown Mall, Tatsu rewards curiosity with a plethora of bites from succulent baos to large bowls of ramen. As the name suggests, Tatsu Ramen Gyoza Bar specialises in pan-fried dumplings cooked to perfection. There is a range of options to try from old favourites such as pork gyoza to exciting fusion options including oyster gyoza and deep-fried cheese gyoza, Vegetarians are amply catered for and there are several gluten-free options available. Tatsu’s bar serves Asahi on tap, Japanese beers, plum wine, shochu, sake, Japanese whisky and a range of custom cocktails to sample.
