Sushi Edo

Sitting on a corner in the Reading Newmarket Shopping Centre, Sushi Edo dishes up cheap and cheerful Japanese fare. You’ll find a range of nigiri, aburi, gunkan and hand rolls on the $3.50-a-plate sushi train or take your pick from the a la carte menu, which includes dishes like Wagyu beef, sashimi sets and udon noodles. Sushi Edo draws focus to quality ingredients, from konbu seaweed imported from Japan to Atlantic salmon sourced from a Tasmanian World Heritage Wilderness Area. Owner Johnny Lee brings plenty of experience to the new sushi haunt, having previously run a Japanese restaurant in Sunnybank.
