Tucked away in a leafy laneway set between two of Aria’s residential towers in Woolloongabba, Superfly slings a concise menu of hand-stretched pizzas and a few tasty sides, while also playing hits from everyone between Joy Division and Mobb Deep. The venue’s in-house dough is a carefully crafted hybrid of New York and Neapolitan-style crusts, combining crisp structure and a soft chew that makes a truly unique pie. Superfly is not your traditional Italian pizzeria – you can expect to find a bunch of adventurous flavour combos across the menu, including on pizzas like the Purple Rain (morcilla, radicchio and pickled pear on a gooey blue-cheese base), the Veggie Watts (grilled eggplant, zucchini, capsicum, olives, basil, rocket and tahini swirl), and the Italian Meats (smoked ham, pork sausage, sopressa, mortadella, pepperoni and provolone). Beyond pizza, Superfly also serves a couple of pasta options, beef and pork meatballs, spicy arancini, and burrata with a fermented chilli crisp oil.
