Street Lab Specialty Coffee appeared on the Wickham Street side of the Emporium in the final weeks of 2016, quietly opening its doors and letting curious patrons discover the cafe on their own. After a few years servicing The Valley, owner Ethan Dou made the decision to move closer to the city centre, opening Street Lab on the corner of Edward and Charlotte Streets. Like its Fortitude Valley iteration, this version of Street Lab is still heavily coffee focused, with a rotating roster of roasters giving caffeine addicts a variety of options for their daily sip. In addition to the brew, Street Lab also serves a small selection of cakes and pastries, with goodies sourced from Chouquette, Mountain River Patisserie, Petrichor and Co. and more.
