Spice Den Brisbane
Casuarina’s Spice Den headed north to Brisbane in early 2018, opening up a stylishly appointed sibling location at the base of Queen Street’s Spire Residences. Spice Den replicates Casuarina’s intimate Asian-inspired aesthetic with a distinct urban edge to reflect the modern design of Spire’s 40-storey residential building. Much of Spice Den’s pan-Asian has remained the same, with chicken pad thai, wagyu pat see yuew, sticky beef ribs, vegan san choy bow sharing menu space with spicier morsels such as the vegetarian panaeng curry, hot green prawn curry or pat prik king with wagyu beef. Spice Den’s menu caters amply to the gluten-free eaters, and numerous dishes can be made vegan upon request. The bar serves up an array of eye-catching cocktails, wines, beer and ciders, as well as a milk bar selection for kids big and small. Those eager to sample the fare in the comfort of their own homes can order takeaway using the restaurant’s own app or online ordering system.
