Arriving on the Brisbane brewing scene in August 2017, Slipstream Brewing Co. is one the southside’s most popular brewpubs in addition to being a nationally recognised producer of sessional beers. In 2021 Slipstream updated its Yeerongpilly premises to include a brand-new kitchen, bar and beer garden, honing in on the family-friendly appeal that cemented it as a local go-to upon opening. Slipstream’s chefs Adam Healey (formerly of Brewdog’s Dogtap) and Karma Garung (The Smoke BBQ) at the helm, a menu was crafted that offers a little bit of something for everyone across grazing plates, burgers, mains, pizzas and sides. Over at the bar, the team pours Slipstream’s six core beers (plus a crisp apple cider from Sparkke), as well as a range of limited release brewery-exclusive brews made in the small-batch system, including the likes of the Fruit Cart passionfruit sour, Yerongpils Pilsner, Hazy IPA and Banoffee Pie Pastry stout – all available by the schooner, pint or as part of a tasting paddle. A new commercial hotel licence also allows Slipstream’s bar to stock a selection of Australian wines (including a pet-nat chardonnay from Victoria’s Range Life) and a clutch of Australian-produced small-batch spirits.
