Spring Hill welcomed a new cafe into its midst with the arrival of Side Street Espresso on Boundary Street in late-2014. Selling Veneziano coffee from Melbourne and a small menu of breakfast and lunch items, Side Street is a great spot for a grab-and-go sandwich or croissant or even as a place to sit down and people watch. Although Side Street has started from humble beginnings, the cafe ownership has big aspirations. Over the coming months the space will be overhauled with new furnishings and paint with a larger kitchen to be installed later in 2015. Once these additions are complete, Side Street Espresso will turn into a bar by night, so keep your eye on this space in the future.
