Combining two of life’s great indulgences, coffee and photography, the couple behind Wavell Heights’ Shutter & Brew has created a space for lovers of both pastimes. A rotating exhibition of local photographers’ works hangs on its wooden walls, antique cameras rest on display and an inviting selection of creative treats tempts locals further inside. Locally made condiments are sold beside old-fashioned enamel mugs and photography accessories, while milkshakes are served in jugs with paper straws. The pair is preparing to host photography workshops in-store from 2014, and encourages amateur photographers to pop in for a chat and a piece of the store’s popular confections.
