Seymour’s Cocktails and Oysters

Caxton Street’s Ginger’s closed its doors in the latter half of 2016 to undergo a significant makeover. The end result is Seymour’s Cocktails and Oysters, a New Orleans-style cafe-meets-cocktail bar that opened to the public in November. Owners Jamie Webb and Simon Shearer are still on board, teaming up with their Lefty’s Old Time Musical Hall partner Jason Scott to create the vibrant bar. Seymour’s Cocktails and Oysters is inspired by the old-world drinking dens of New Orleans, reflected from the fit-out and music through to the food and cocktails. The bar is manned by some heavily scouted bar talent, offering friendly and informed service. The brown spirit-heavy cocktail list harkens back to the flavours of New Orleans, with the sazerac an instant crowd pleaser. All oysters are sourced from the finest suppliers in Brisbane, and are joined by other bites such as Reuben sandwiches and tasty cheeseburgers.
