Romantica Ristorante Pizzeria
Romantica Ristorante Pizzeria is a Paddington eatery that comes from the minds behind Roman-inspired pinseria La Pinsa. While maintaining some of La Pinsa’s Roman-inspired direction, Romantica pairs its Italian fare with some distinctive Estonian touches. The centrepiece of Romantica’s menu is undoubtedly the pizza, which is made using Roman-style dough of washed-wheat flour, organic mother yeast and filtered cold water. After rising for 48 to 72 hours, the base is then fired in a brand-new Alfa Opera Italian wood-fired oven (using cherry firewood), resulting in a lighter pizza, which is crispier and easier to digest. Romantica’s Estonian touches are most evident in dishes such as the free-range pork belly with fresh herbs and cauliflower puree and the slow-cooked wagyu oxtail ragout. The bar is stocked with Estonian and Italian liquors, as well as Italian craft beers and cider, and organic Italian wine. Romantica is child friendly, and also caters to those with gluten intolerances.
