Riverland

We’re pretty blessed in Brisbane to have a big ol’ river running right through our fair city, and we never tire of long afternoons by the water with a drink in hand. Good news for us – a riverside bar and restaurant opened on Eagle Street in the final days of 2017, converting an unused terrace at Emirates House into Riverland. Designed by Burton & Carter Architects, the bar offers sweeping views of the Brisbane River and boasts a plenty of greenery to create a sub-tropical feel, perfect for Brisbane’s climate. A huge island bar sits at the centre of the venue, complemented by five individual kitchens that create a permanent food-truck vibe. Expect the food vendors to change ever four to six weeks so you will never run out of delicious street food options.
