Rico Bar & Dining
In June 2019, acclaimed fine-dining institution Aria officially shuttered after ten years of operation. In October 2019, the venue became home to Rico Bar & Dining – a multi-faceted eatery from the crew behind George’s Paragon and Massimo Restaurant & Bar. The concept delivered an offering that fuses Australian, Spanish and Latin flavours. Brisbane-based collective Clui Design (the team behind Massimo’s pristine fit-out) was engaged to craft the venue’s interior, which is a far cry from Aria’s moody aesthetics. Rico boasts casual outdoor seating and a modish 260-seat interior dining space for groups big and small. The menu offering features the likes of freshly shucked oysters, delicious chargrilled meats and seafood, with an a la carte service, banquet feasts and tapas menus to cater for all hunger levels. Rico’s bar is well provisioned with wines from Spain, Argentina, Chile, France, the Unites States, Australia and New Zealand, as well as tap and bottled beers and spirits. On the cocktail front, the bar concocts a mixture of classics and Rico signatures, as well as red, white and rose sangria jugs.
