Set within the frame of an old shipping container, Red Baron Coffee sees a palette of vivid red and wooden tones meld within the space, with much of the fit-out recycled. Exposed lightbulbs hang above the coffee bar and cosy seating corner inside, while a deck area at the front provides the perfect opportunity to soak up some morning rays. Combining all his favourite local producers under one roof, owner Matthew has sourced baked treats from Gerbinos’s Pasticceria at Ashgrove and cakes from Leavain. The danishes and almond croissants are fluffy and lush, while the spelt-and-walnut brownie and raspberry coconut cake tempt you into staying a little longer. There are The Collective Dairy yoghurts for breakfast time and a range of sandwiches and salads catering to nearby lunching office folk.
