The Sofitel is one of Brisbane’s marquee hotels, which means that it boasts some of the city’s finest dining destinations. Privé249 is a lavishly decorated bar and restaurant that boasts some impressive inner-city views. With a menu featuring French-inspired Australian cuisine, the restaurant offers decadent dishes, with an a la carte and degustation menus and an impressive wine list to boot. The menu features mains such as lamb loin with confit belly, smoked beetroot and Persian fetta, wagyu eye fillet with shiitake mushrooms, celeriac and foie gras, and market fish with cauliflower, prawn and chorizo. Saver room for dessert – decadent options include banana brulee with salted caramel and popcorn ice-cream, Bee One Third honey parfait with poached pair and mojito as well as a selection of cheeses.
