Phat Elephant

Phat Elephant opened in Post Office Square at the tail end of June in 2016, replacing Hatch & Co in the spacious corner location. The restaurant offers a casual blend of Thai street food with relaxed sit-down dining, offering a huge range of dishes for a reasonable price point. Must-try dishes include E-sarn cured pork sausages, crispy fish with tamarind and chilli sauce, sour curry with tiger prawns, glass noodle hot pot and Thai wagyu steak. The bar boasts tap beer from Singha and Asahi, as well as bottled brews, wine and spirits including Thailand’s SangSom rum, which is only available in Brisbane at Phat Elephant.
