Phat Elephant Toombul
Not long after Toombul Shopping Centre unveiled the first wave of retailers at its new UPSTAIRS dining playground, another popular restaurant concept joined the mix. Following the arrival of Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, Dapple + Waver and Il Gancio, Phat Elephant – the popular Thai concept from Alyssa Phadungkiat (Chapter IV, Chai Thai and Phat Boy) – opened a new location in the heart of Toombul’s culinary hub. Having already won over tastebuds at its debut location at Post Office Square in The City, Phat Elephant at Toombul delivers a streamlined menu of favourites from its inner-city sibling, including signatures such as the pineapple fried rice, duck curry, crispy pork with string beans and chilli prik khing sauce and coconut ice-cream served in a whole coconut. Phat Elephant at Toombul will soon be licensed, but until it arrives you can enjoy Thai milk teas, lemon iced teas and fresh young coconuts. The new location boast a smaller footprint than Phat Elephant Brisbane City, with space for 50 diners – but guests can expect the same lively atmosphere Phat Elephant has come to be known for.
