Located on Boundary Street in West End, Pasta Club is an intimate and charming eatery specialising in warming, Italian-inspired fare. As the name would suggest, pasta is a core fixture of the menu, with a variety of types (made from seasonal ingredients that have been obtained locally) available on any given night. The likes of spaghetti carbonara with parmesan and smoked salt, braised beef-cheek ragu, fusilli with prawns coated in a rich salsa rossa and pumpkin agnolotti with pine nuts and burnt butter are fantastic examples of the kinds of pasta one can twirl a fork through, though the menu also boasts a smattering of tasty sides to accompany. Groups can dip their spoons into fresh burrata doused in salsa verde, share a trio of truffled-mushroom arancini and divvy up a salad of radicchio, goats cheese, caramelised onion and balsamic, or finish their meal on a sweet note with Italian almond cookies, tiramisu or a pear-and-hazelnut torta caprese. Pasta Club is BYO-friendly, though the team are keen to secure a liquor licence in the future, likely offering a small selection of wines and classic cocktails. Also of note, Pasta Club is only accepting same-day bookings – so be sure to get in quick if you want to reserve a spot for dinner.
