The Brew Baron Beer Company
There’s a new crew at the helm (and a new name on the sign) of one of West End’s most popular breweries. Parched on Montague Road has officially been transformed into The Brew Baron Beer Company – a beer maker with a quirky and tongue-in-cheek personality. Owned and operated by Brad Sayer, Rita Ferraro and Gibran Ferraro Firmo, The Brew Baron Beer Company is retaining much of the community-centric feel of its predecessor, but with some timely tweaks giving the beer selection and kitchen offering a boost. The fare has been infused with some international flavours, with pub-style grub like 10-hour braised beef cheek Birramisu Pie and chicken parmies available alongside tempura prawns with wasabi aioli, pulled-pork tacos, karaage burgers with kimchi slaw. Long-standing head brewer Matt Wolfe has stayed on to continue crafting Parched’s award-winning beers beers, now with greater autonomy to experiment and flesh out the range. In addition to the enhanced food and drink offering, The Brew Baron crew will be giving its spacious digs a refresh over the coming months, adding in a pool room on the mezzanine level, big-screen TVs playing live sport, new leather chesterfield sofas and a newly constructed deck. Live music will also be making its return to the brewery, ensuring it’ll remain a popular West End haunt under its new ownership.
