One of Brisbane’s finest local coffee roasters took the next step in its evolution in mid-2018, opening up its own bricks-and-mortar cafe on Hudson Road in Albion. Parallel Roasters has been roasting since 2016, but beyond its Sumner Park roaster patrons could only get their hands on fresh beans at a few specialty cafes around town. The space is the perfect community hang spot, with friendly staff and an approachable menu for both its coffee and food offering. Patrons can sip on brews across espresso, batch-brew and pour-over varieties, while the all-day menu serves up the likes of brioche French toast, autumn mushrooms with crisp baked polenta, slow-cooked mince and house cornbread. Vegan options are available, with seasonal twists to feature as new produce becomes available. Parallel Roasters will also look to utilise the space to host cupping sessions, talks and product showcases.
