Shadowed by the posts of the Story Bridge, Pallet Cafe straddles a line between Brisbane City and Fortitude Valley at the top of Adelaide Street. The tidy space pays tribute to its neighbouring structure with images from the bridge’s construction days displayed proudly, and the Brisbane City Council has contributed some recycled bolts from the bridge to the cafe – as featured on a wall opposite the counter. Led by its benevolent owner Karpin Lim, Pallet Cafe serves up delicious coffee, creamy milkshakes, all-day breakfasts, hearty paninis and tempting dessert options.
