When you’ve reached the end of a long day and the clock is ticking but the fridge is empty, this Oxford Street eatery promises to nourish you with homestyle cooking you won’t feel guilty guzzling. Available to eat in or take away, the Ooh Mami menu covers gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads and square meals, as well as share plates, soups and sides. Wholesome, healthy nosh ranges from a red cabbage and avocado salad with raspberry dressing, to lemon and herb salmon with potato salad, asparagus and creamy dill sauce, to a six-hour slow-braised lamb sandwich on gluten-free, pug malt or specialty pretzel loaf. Hot days will see diners reaching for juice and ginger beer from Charlie’s and Phoenix, as well as Nudie coconut water, Byron Bay organic tea and Benchmark coldpress coffee. Ooh Mami opens Thursday August 7.
