NewBliss

NewBliss appeared in Fortitude Valley in May 2106, setting up quietly on Warner Street in a cosy space slightly removed from the busiest thoroughfares. The brainchild of Irish expats Dermot and Rhona, the duo spent years travelling the world before settling down in Brisbane and opening a cafe that offers great food and coffee. Dermot (who is from Newbliss in Ireland) and Rhona fleshed out their dream space with an impressive feature wall by local artist Sam Wong, creating a great vibe perfect for lingering diners and a coffee window for takeaways. NewBliss is the only location in Brisbane to serve Flying West Coffee, and are advocates for shopping locally. Menu items such as the slow-cooked off the bone ham and cheese toastie, meat lovers pizza, Irish breakfast baguette with Clonakilty pudding and the breadcrumbed chicken baguette are all made from great, local ingredients and come with little extras such as complementary cookies for coffee orders, and chips for sandwiches. Check in regularly for new morsels, including an expanding selection of cakes.
