Mr Luxford’s

The bustling intersection of Roma and Turbot Streets scored a brand-new watering hole and restaurant in the form of Mr Luxford’s in May 2019. Paying tribute to vegetable vendor and local legend Mr Sydney Luxford – who operated at Roma Street Markets in the early 1900s – Mr Luxford’s looks to revitalise the Roma Street-end of The City, serving everything from quick takeaway lunches and curated multi-course dining to knock-off beverages and late-night cocktails. The kitchen is pumping out a modern Asian-fusion menu, including morsels such as slow-braised Mongolian lamb sliders, Kung Pao prawn baos, Szechuan lamb ribs, sticky orange pork belly and Korean-style barbecue wings. A lengthy cocktail list is made using local and fresh produce, while beers, wines and spirits are also available for sipping.
