Mountain River Patisserie
After building a strong following from its pop-up location at Food Connect’s Salisbury incubator, Mountain River Patisserie has opened its own cake and coffee dispensary in Runcorn. Drawing inspiration from Japanese cafes, this tranquil space boasts warm materials and room for almost 40 patrons across interior and shaded alfresco spaces. The menu itself is filled with the patisserie’s greatest hits, including various flavours of Hokkaido cheesecakes, Nagasaki honey sponge cakes and French canelés. Rounding out the range is a strawberry and soaked-cheffy black forest cake, Hong Kong-style cream puffs and fluffy soufflé cheesecakes as well as onigiri rice balls for those seeking a savoury snack. The patisserie is also Padre coffee, Tsujiri uji matcha, Japanese tea from Marukyu Koyamaen and Kimino sparkling juices, with tea ceremonies expected to be held on site in the coming months.
