Brisbane’s Marriott Hotel has long been one of Brisbane’s preeminent accomodation destinations, but apart from the top-notch suites and on-site amenities, it’s Motion Dining that helps elevate the hotel above the rest. When the hotel underwent a redevelopment in 2018, Motion Dining also scored a sprucing. The eatery and bar is a multi-faceted venue that caters to guests and walk-ins, featuring a range of spaces and ambiences to enjoy. Motion Dining boasts an area overlooking the grill, high tables in the M Bar portion and alfresco dining with views of the Brisbane River at the MDeck. Executive chef Peter Iwanczyk has crafted a range of menus utilising the freshest Queensland produce available, from prime steaks to seafood. The morning menu features light and substantial breakfast bites, including three-egg omelettes, pancake stacks and house made waffles. At lunch, the menu shifts to offer steamed dumplings, Indian felafel burgers, pizzas and char-grilled wagyu rumps. Motion Dining’s dinner menu offers even more to choose from, such as roasted turmeric cauliflower steaks, spanner crab chilli pasta, spicy vegan curries, Jack’s Creek short rib and a substantial char-grill steak selection.
